We have some important updates coming to your Nulab Account, particularly for Backlog users! As we continue to unify our three collaborative apps—Backlog, Cacoo, and Typetalk—within the Nulab Apps system, managing your Organization will be easier than ever.
Right now, your Nulab Account acts as a single sign-on for all of our apps. But Cacoo Team and Typetalk subscribers have a few extra features for Organization management that we’re excited to bring to Backlog users.
In short, you’ll be able to manage your Organization across all three apps from your Nulab Account.
What can I do with my Nulab Account?
Starting today, when you create a new Backlog space, your team will automatically be set up with a Nulab Account or linked to an existing one.
This account will allow you to:
- Pay service fees using your Credit Card or a bank transfer
- Access Members and Groups across your new Backlog space, Cacoo Team account, and Typetalk account
- Use Git, Subversion, and WebDAV authentications
- Use two-step authentication to log in (users will not sign in using a Backlog user ID/password)
- Access more security features, including our password strength checker
On top of that, new Backlog spaces will receive a two-month discount for annual contracts.
Please Note: All new spaces will have our new backlog.com domain (rather than our existing backlog.jp and backlogtool.com domains). As Backlog becomes a global brand, we will begin migrating all spaces to this domain, which gives us greater authority and universality on the world market.
What does this mean for existing users?
Nothing, yet. Existing Backlog spaces cannot access these features through Nulab Account, even if you sign up manually. But we’re working on a migration tool as we speak!
Currently, if you have an existing Backlog space and a Nulab Account, you can still use your account to update your name, email address, password, and profile picture. You can also manage security features including two-factor authentication, login alerts, and login history.
If you’d like to start using a credit card to pay for your current Backlog space, just contact support.
Once we complete the migration, all Backlog spaces will have an associated Nulab Account and access to these features.
